Bride & Groom best wishes card / present before the ceremony

Hello,
My friends are getting married later this month, they are having an intimate ceremony and a wedding celebration after. Unfortunatley I am unable to attend the celebration as we will be away on our family holiday which we had already booked and paid for months before the wedding was even planned.
I thought it be nice to send both the Bride and Groom seperate cards that they can open before the ceremony from myself wishing them good luck etc and although I cant celebrate with them I am thinking of them.
I also thought about sending a balloon in a box to the celebration venue. I have been thinking about this for a while now and my mind is a blank with what to do/get/write etc, the more I think the less I know what to do, I really would like something unusual/different.
Has anybody sent or recieved anything like this?
If anybody else has any other suggestions I welcome them gratefully x

The normal thing to do is to send a card to the best man & ask them to read it out during the speeches.0
