curling tong/wand - which is best

I am looking for a curling tong or wand for difficult hair. Although I get brazillian keratin treatments I find that my hair doesn't hold a curl when I use tongs. I have never managed to get the hang of curling with GHD's so am looking for an industrial strength tong for my crazy hair.
I assume that heat will be the most important aspect but anyone with any experiences and recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a wand and I love it, takes alot of practise though, until you're not burning your hands/fingers at every opportunity. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

What kind? What temperature does it go up to and what kind of hair do you have (i.e. thick, fine, coarse etc)If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
It's a Remington Curling Wand, and it goes to 220 degrees. My hair is fine but I have alot of it, it's bushy. My friend has thick curly hair but wanted big curls, she uses a Babyliss Curling Wand and it works in her hair. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Is it this one? http://www.boots.com/en/Remington-Pearl-Hair-Curling-Wand-Ci95_1120601/ It only goes to 210 degrees rather than 220 but it has great reviews. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I use a Herstyler-have long very thick hair and its does a v good job. Has a heatproof glove with it and takes a bit of practice, but worthwhile mastering.0

Yes that's the one, sorry I must have got mixed up. I love mines although I'd like one with a thicker barrel. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly I have gone with your recommendation and have ordered it from Tesco for less than £17 but it doesn't have the glove with it. I have read reviews where people have said to wear a leather glove which does the same thing and that the glove that comes with the product is very big so its difficult to style effectively. I am sure I will sort something out that doesn't involve mega burns!
Thanks for the feedback and I will let you know if I end up with kinks, curls or 3rd degree burns! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
Gillyx, I picked it up today and either I am doing something wrong or it is broken - help!
I switched it on and the temp came up on the screen with 3 bars along the bottom that looked like they were loading or indicating it heating up - kind of like when a phone charges. And then nothing.... the barrel was cold and the bars continued to look like they were loading but nothing happened.
I then tried to lock the temp by pressing the - button and the key came up like the instructions said it would but still no heat. Have I got dud ones or am I doing something wrong? If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
