Milk and More fruit and veg boxes

I've just ordered on to see if they are any good - Has anyone got one before? £11.99 for a fruit, veg and salad box - a bit pricey, but i don't actually know what amount you get for your money. I probably should of asked here before i ordered it. But i'm sure it will all get eaten anyway.

My OH's mum gets a box delivered weekly, not sure where from, I'm guessing a local shop or farm and the stuff she gets seems to be good value and lots of it. Not sure how much it costs though.

  • It may be worth looking at a site such as rosspa.co.uk where you could put together your own fruit/veg/salad boxes which would ensure you only received items you know you like so nothing will go to waste.
Their fruit & veg prices are pretty reasonable & they have a "Pick And Mix with any other product the same price" offer for items which are 2for£1, 3for£1, 5for£1 etc... which allows you to add a bit of variation without bumping up the cost too much.
There is a thread discussing Rosspa here:

I order my fruit and veg from www.riverford.co.uk and can highly recommend them. Produce lasts much longer compared to supermarket bought stuff and it tastes a lot nicer too.

well, I got my box this morning, quality i can't fault, all fresh, but not overly so should last the week.

NOT a great amount for your money though!!

    6 x apples
    Cherry Toms
    1kg bananas
    4 x oranges
    Bag red onions
    Sweetheart cabbage
    lettuce
    cucumber

I think i could get twice as much with my money in even waitrose! So won't bother again, unless desperate!
