Morning!
Big day is getting closer now...Im having a sweet themed wedding with a candy buffet, sweet themed invites/table plan, choc fountain etc..(basically going the whole hog haha!)
I wanted your opinion on this:
We are naming the tables after sweets and will be having mirror plates and tall vases as the centrepieces...you know how some people have scatter crystals or petals..well I was thinking of scattering the sweets that the table is named after...i.e if the table is jelly beans then just to scatter a few around the centrepiece...
What do you all think???good idea/not good idea?

I think that's a fab idea! The only downside is that they might not last long

That doesnt bother me too much as there will be more on the candy buffet and the scattered ones are only really for the benefit of the day guests :0) I was thinking even if they do get eaten the table centrepiece will still be effective
We have personalised love hearts as favours!

I think that's a brilliant idea - we're thinking of simething similar (honest!).
Just be carefull as some sweets might not be suitable to scatter as they might get too sticky, but I think you have a big enough range to choose from.
Are you naming the top table too?0 -
Hadnt thought of a name for the top table to be honest....what do you think?
I will get some pics on here after the wedding and if you like the ideas you are more than welcome to pinch them!x0 -
Our favourite is rhubarb and custard, so I think that would be our top table name if we went down the sweet theme.
Just realised you're getting married on my birthday!
Congratulations by the way!0 -

i think it would be a great idea, do you mean perhaps just having a circle of them around you centre piece?Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Think it sounds brilliant but also be careful about which sweets you use. For example I wouldn't use any nut ones incase of allergies and as someone else said be careful of ones that might get sticky.0

Yes, that's a good point. At a wedding I went to recently, the favours were three chocolates in a little organza bag and the ones that were near the window with the sun on them had melted - leaving a lovely brown smear on the tablecloth...0
