Juicing Recipes

Options
Much as I'd like a smoothie maker, I have a juicer and can't really justify the expense of buying another gadget! Does anyone have any recipes for juices? I've searched on MSE and couldn't find anything, and can't find much more on the internet, but would like simple juices like apple/orange combinations. Many thanks.

    Hi alyth,

There are some recipes for juicers here and here

My children love smoothies but like you I don't want to buy another gadget. They just use the stick blender to make them.

  • Our favourite is carrot, apple, beetroot and a slice of lemon. We've also juiced apples and oranges to use in mulled wine.

If you still crave smoothies then they are easy to make in an ordainary liquidiser

And a blender's much easier to clean.

For anything that is not entirely fruit I would include a chunk of root ginger and a lemon. It tends to really lift the flavour.

I quickly juiced 4 apples and a pear tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous! Then I remembered I have a food processor which has a blender attachment, so I'm sorted! So off to the supermarket this weekend for tons of fruit, thanks so much for all your ideas, pink-winged, your links were fantastic, I'm trying to aim for more than 5 portions of fruit/veg a day and making juices and smoothies really makes a difference! Thanks again, appreciate your replies.
