in Credit cards
Hi, not sure if i've posted this in the correct area but couldn't find a specific credit score section.
I am looking to apply for credit at the moment as I need to carry out some home improvements. I figured that before just applying blindly, i'd get some credit reports from Experian and Equifax to get an idea of my chances of being accepted. On both reports, my file is missing 2 active credit agreements, 1 being a credit card with vanquis which I've had for 14 months, the other being a car finance loan with Santander which has been active for 5 months. The initial searches by both lenders appear on the report but the accounts themselves do not. I haven't missed any payments on either account and they are the only agreements registered against my current address.
First I contacted both lenders to ensure they had passed through the relevant info to the credit reference agencies. They have both ensured me that they have. So I have contacted both Equifax and Experian who are telling me that it is the responsibility of the lenders to provide them details and if they had done this, the accounts would show on my report. I have now spent the past 3 months going back and forth between my lenders and the credit reference agencies who are both telling me its down to the other person!!! I am getting so frustrated as not having credit registered at my current address is having a negative impact on my score.
Another issue is my electoral roll info. In March, I changed my details with the council so I am registered at my current address. they have written to me and confirmed the change. However 5 months down the line and my credit file has not updated. Obviously this is again having big negative impacts. equifax and experian both insist the issues aren't with them and I am getting nowhere! anybody know what I can do to resolve this? I've tried calling, emailing, I've even given details of my missing accounts to experian and equifax and still nothing. My scores are currently showing as fair whereas if I had 2 perfect credit agreements on my file and my electoral roll was up to date, i'd probably be in the excellent category. Extremely frustrated!!!!!

Address mismatch.
The address you gave EX and EQ is slightly (subtley) different to the address that appears on the ER and your accounts.
Call them, they should be able to match your proper address and update the details on your membership so you can see the infoCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Thanks, I'll try that first thing Monday. I've just logged into equifax to check and there is an extra 'T' in the building name on my address. could it really be as simple as this??!!!! My experian is showing as correct though. Fingers crossed thats all it is.0 -
Do you have a phone number for Equifax please? They are ignoring my requests to update my electoral roll info on their support site!0

Thank you, I'm having a bit of a nightmare as Royal Mail are insisting my flat is at a "multi-occupancy" address, so then Equifax won't add my complete address (including flat number) and that doesn't match my electoral roll details!0
