    Nothing on the packaging; it was from a small local supermarket which is known for 'good' meat.........so fingers crossed!

    I've just googled and it seems to be oxidisation in vacuum sealed pork. So as long as it has gone after rinsing and there are no other signs of decay, it will be fine so no need to nuke it. :D

    Dont nuke it, you'll spoil it, just cook it to instructions and it will be fine, loin is lovely.

    Enjoy................

    Thanks again - it's in the oven now and I'm going to virtually nuke it - if it's a little dry so be it!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: What a picture that paints ;)

    Keep it moist using tinfoil/basting (I prefer foil as it frees you up to get on with other things.....bon appetit Norma

    Well, it's smelling delicious......having new potatoes and red cabbage from the farm next door with it - and homemade apple stuffing.
    Starting to drool now ;):D

    Second hotcookie trichinosis is very rare in the UK these days. It used to be that you had to be v careful to cook thoroughly, but not anymore. I grew up with this though and can't eat pink pork! Although rare steak, yum.
