satin bolero from bhs what like are there sizes?

HI have many of you ordered or had bhs bridesmaids dress in the past i did find before ordereing that there was many reviews of there sizes being off as in to long or to small or large in the bust area etc.
I think i kind of got lucky and all our bridesmaids was ok,well one had got her one taken up a little which meant we had to get the others done also to make them all the same.

I am maybe after the satin bolero but was wondering what these where like in sizing are the small made, large made or about right in the sizes the state, time is running out for us and if i needed to get these i would need to get them real quick and i would need three for the girls, but if there was a problem with one being no good in size and there was no further stock then it would not be required.

Would be great if you could give me some feedback on these things as in there sizes etc

    Hiya,
I had one of these when I was a bridesmaid a year and a half ago - I'd say that they are on the smaller side of the size they are supposed to be but not massively so. So if you're a size 12/14 for example I'd go for the 14.
    Good luck :)
  • Hi

I have bought one for myself, the Ivory Bolero and I am normally a size 18 -20 in tops and had to get a size 20 in the bolero....in which I am now having to have it taken up at the back, because it's too baggy, but the size 18 was too tight...

If you could, go and try them on in your local BHS store, if they have a wedding section (even if the store does not have your colour in) That way you will know for deffo!

    Good luck x

I'm not sure about the boleros, but I ordered a size 16 wedding dress as I take a 16 on top, and it was really small, I sent it back and ordered an 18 and it was still way too small, when I went into the shop one of the girls told me they were getting a lot of feedback saying the bridal range was made too small. I don't know if that'll affect the boleros but having returned two dresses in the past month I haven't had any problems with their returns service, so that shouldn't be an issue if it doesn't fit?
