Trying to get her Debt Free - Advice needed

Hi thereWish we had spare time to do much else, she works for the local council, so there's no chance of getting any over time (she's just missed out on the cuts they were making there, but luckily managed to get a pay rise - go figure?!), most weekends are usually spent helping her dad at his dying business, we have actually just got back from helping him - I drove, so it saves her fuel.
Trying to get her in a routine of trying to save money, staying in, watching a dvd out of the collection or what not.... She could probably do one or two paid surveys a week maybe, then again, she doesnt get much time.... out of the house at 7:45-8 to get to work for 8:30 ish, then doesnt get back home till 6-6:30, dinner, get settled, by that time its 7:30-8:00 and she's ready for bed near enough.
Like your GF I work for the Council and do probably the same kind of hours. I do lots of surveys online and although its not masses amounts of money, its something and its something I can do while "getting settled" before going to bed. They dont take long and it makes me feel like im doing something practical every night towards my debt!
Good luck with it all!Debt Free Roll of Honor #598

DON'T USE PAYDAY LOAN COMPANIES. THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!! They have outrageous APR's Interest Rates and are a nightmare to deal with if you can't pay back on time. Noteven to mention the charges they start applying. I learnt this the hard way?
What do you need a loan for?
with loyds tsb charging over 46million% apr on a £200 unauthourised overdraft for ten days, then your quote seems abit silly the apr's on payday loan websites are seriously good compared to conventional ways of lending if you just need to borrow a small amount fast, as long as you are 100%!!!!! certain that you can pay them back the promised amount on time.0 -
Joey honestly Pay Day Loans are NEVER a good idea - it doesn't matter how much (or little) you need or how short a time, if you don't have enough money to last x month, then how on earth do you manage to cope next month & pay off the PDL.
Please, please, do not consider getting one - they are a viscious circle that's really hard to get out of - you need to borrow more each month to "break even" without even paying them back.... there are 000s of people (me included), who've done it and bitterly regret it.
I've had occasions since I managed to wade my way out of them when I've literally had no money to last the month but I would rather eat plain value rice (very horrid!) for a whole month then ever get another one.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
