Do letters for final payment from people who don't live with u effect ur credit?

Over the last 7 years I've had about 1 letter a month or so sent to my address to people who have never ever lived there. (I know this as the previous resident lived in my address for 30 years)

Most of them are financial based, all from different places, and are often demanding final payment of debts or notification of pension details etc. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the names or companies though, and I've never noticed a string of letters to the same person.

I had never thought much of it as I've never heard anything else in relation to any of these letters, such as anyone calling the house or turning up at the door, (baliffs for example), but i'm now wondering if these debt letters will have any effect on my credit rating, since it's my address that's on them?

Any ideas?
