thanks for the idea CC and don't be scared off from posting please.

will look and see if theres room on first pages , if not i could delete the old list each time to save alittle space.
major updates/new list are only on wednesdays , i added keep and eye out on list as i update that list when things are posted and only post its updated as i think i'd be rude not to thank the poster for the info.

added dettol deal to list last night but thanks. let me know if you find anything else

MT - a thought - much as I like the shopping list, it does take up a lot of space on the thread and the reposting and reminding where to find it and when it is being updated does too. Is there anyway to sticky it to the FP and then everyone will know exactly where to find it? Perhaps MSE isn't the right tool to store this information? What about a public document/spreadsheet/database on Google Docs or Zoho Office? Those tools are free and we could just point to it rather than keep repeating its entire content each time? Also public can contribute to it which may cut down on your workload? You could move from adding and maintaining to mainly managing it? Just a thought

Wasn't something similar to above suggestion used when DTD was on and there were problems when everyone was updating? Surely better that one person updates and we all forward updates to that person?

I also think there were attempts to sabotage the dtd list? I would go with leaving it as it is.

Or a team effort - the spreadsheet had a small team updating. I'm sure there would be enough willing peeps - 1 supermarket each? xx

You know how Martin sponsors the saynoto0870.com project, and he has all these developers making tools and stuff. Well can't they find some way to create an interactive database for us to update, and if people are sabotaging it they can just be banned or removed from the site?
