    Morning all,

Isolice, since you've worked your magic for PC users, any chance you can advise Mac users about the Coupon Printer? I've tried a few times but it always says "unsupported printer" :(

I'm sure I'm not the only Mac bod on here, so annoying I can't print any ssm and most of the fb coupons.

    TIA ;-)

    from coupon printer website

I use a Mac. Can I still print coupons?
Yes, you can! Mac users can install the Mac coupon printer. Please note that we currently do not support Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard), but our engineers are working hard to resolve this and we urge you to keep trying.

Coupon Printer won't install with Snow Leopard
My wife was having the same problem. The symptom was that the install of "Coupon Printer" failed. After trying both Safari & Firefox and puzzling about it for a bit, I open the Console app and saw the error messages that were generated during the installation. This enabled me to determine that the failure occurred during the execution of a bash script name "postflight." So I went back to the "Coupon Printing Installer", and using the Finder did a "Show Package Contents." I found "postflight" under the Resources folder and opened it using TextEdit. Upon examining the script, I discovered that its sole purpose was to restart the cups printing subsystem when the installation was finished. Support for doing this step under 10.6 Snow Leopard was just not there in the script, but I had already learned that by the time this script executes the installation is actually already finished anyway.

So all I needed to do was just restart Snow Leopard. My wife was then able to print the coupons she wanted successfully using Firefox. (It didn't work with Safari, but it might if you run Safari in 32 bit mode -- I just didn't get a chance to try this).

Running safari in 32bit mode does indeed fix it.

Ok, so I am not computer savvy but after 2 weeks weeks of being frustrated installing and reinstalling the coupon printer and my printer I finally figured it out. I knew that a couple weeks ago I was able to print the coupons on my new mac (which I never have had one before) and then all of a sudden I couldn't. After alot of research on the web and trying everything everyone said nothing still worked. So I partitioned my hard drive, reinstalled the mac os x 10.6.5 that came on the computer into the new partition, installed my printer, I was finally able to print again. Apparently when the computer did the automatic update to os x 10.6.6 it is not supported by coupons.com yet. So I turned off automatic updates in the new partition and only use that partition for my coupon printing. Yay I am so happy. I hope this will help someone else.

OK... this is what I have figured out...

I have a MacBook running 10.6.6 that has a Core 2 Duo processor that will print coupons from everywhere with the Mac Coupon Printer webplugin installed... this is what I did to get it to work.

    1. Uninstalled all printers
    2. Installed coupon printer
    3. reinstalled only one main printer to use - networked to my i7 iMac
    4. Set Safari 5.0.3 to run in 32-bit mode before I opened Safari
    5. ran Safari and went to coupons.com
    6. Selected some coupons to try it out
    7. Press and hold the command button and then clicked the print button at the top of the screen - do not release the command button until the sign-up for email window comes up (can take a while if you select alot of coupons).
    8. Be PATIENT It will take a while to print and it will be in your print queue... patience

This does not work on QUAD CORE COMPUTERS. There must be a compile difference in the OS's between the Dual and the Quad core processors (there has to be to optimize the OS).

I am going to go see if my older iMac will let me do this. I will report back soon. IMHO, Coupons.com needs to fix this... it is definitely a 64-bit OS problem... as a coder, all it would take is a new mac with the newest version of Xcode installed on it and RECOMPILE the code.... geez... they must not of renewed there Developers Subscription!

Coupons.com called and acknowledged the problem as I described...

Here's the fix - download this document here:
    https://www.yousendit.com/dl?phi_action=app/orchestrateDownload&rurl=htt...

Place this file called - cpnprt2.cid - in a folder as follows.

    Hard Drive>Library>Application Support>Coupons

Close and re-open your browser. Coupons should print.

He said this link should be active for at least another week, and they are working on a PERMANENT fix.

    Good luck,

  • Does anyone else have quite a stash of thiswater building up or is it just me? Lol

I keep trying, but me and dad keep drinking it as fast as I buy it. Best I had was 8 bottles as a stash, but now I think I've got 3 left. I'm still printing free coupons though.

Question about the coupon, in the email it says one coupon per entry per day. So could you print one coupon from the one code each day?

duplicates of one code "will be traced" but so long as each one that you print has a different code you can print away to your hearts content.
  • just used in S's with no problems and it scans ok too

Are these coupons accepted without problems?

I can imagine a SA refusing them as they look as if they have been copied.
  • newer walls ones are for ice cream only

    chazzdiver wrote: »
thanks for mentioning this. however people have tried using those coupons (they come up as walls products) and they don't include the ice-cream, just things like the sausages. however still nice to know they are on offer. :D
