Sherlock Holmes boxed set. 10 books for a fiver. Wonderful books. Paid £10 for this a while ago.

well I think there is a reason that books get discounted to a £1! the Mao biog is down to £3, I'm tempted!

I highly recommend the children's book called Beegu by Alex Deacon at £1 (rrp £10.99). It is a hardback book with a really lovely, sweet story - great illustrations too: This is one worth buying several copies of for your 'gift stash':

another good deal seems to be the Penguin English Reference - 8 books, I got that amongst others

Only the Best by Michel Roux is a bargain at £3 (rrp is £25); The Oz Clarke Wine Atlas is another good buy at £5 - it's £33.25 on amazon.co.uk!
