tesco clubcard newbie

hi i've had a look at the sticky at the top of the page but i don't think it answers my question:o

ok, i got my 1st clubcard beginning of july.

when i log on to my account it says
current points total = 571
value in clubcard vouchers = £5.50

if i click on 'your vouchers' it says
we have sent you in the last 2 years £9.50
spent£0
you have to spend £9.50

under 'your points' it says
tesco + wwwtesco.com = 960
green clubcard points = 19

i don't get it???
does 571 clubcard points = £9.50?

why have i got 571 points, but the other tab says 960 ccp + 19 gcp?

what are green points?

Points shows current points only.

Vouchers shows total of vouchers/points already issued.

Further down the Your vouchers page it gives a breakdown of the vouchers and when they were issued.

do you mean current months points only? because i'm still confused as to why one page says 979 points and one says 571 points.

if the vouchers are already issued (but i haven't printed them) do i have to use them?
i wasn't planning on using them until maybe christmas (this year or next depending on how much they are worth by this christmas)

The vouchers are in the process of being sent out - You will probably get a letter soon with the £9.50 vouchers attached.

If you check the My Vouchers section of the website it will tell you when the vouchers were issued. They have a two year life so you can save them til Xmas - though to save losing them I understand that you can opt for them just to be sent to you once a year for that purpose - it will be on the website somewhere if you want to do that in the future.

(I checked mine to see if I had any and it said £3.50 for Aug 2011 so they will be winging their way to me a well) I don't use T much.

You are confusing two different time periods.

The home page figure refers to the current collection period - from 24th July onwards (till about 23rd Oct), so transactions you have done from that time to now + the 29 points carried forward amount to 571. If you don't add to that, you'll get £5.50 in the November mailing ( vouchers are calculated to 50 pence).

The other points quoted 960 + 19 refers to the points you accumulated in the last collection period - from 5th May - to 23rd July, they will arrive to the address Clubcard had as at the 23rd July, any time between the 1st Aug & the 15th Aug.
