Dentist + Cold Sore

I wouldnt be remotely concerned about their hygiene. I see patients with cold sores particularly if it is just a check up appointment. I know a lot do not see patients with them but I use gloves, eye mouth and nose protection and everything is cleaned after every patient. Dont worry. We have to adhere to some VERY high standards for cross infection. If theirs were not high enough they would not be open

Like some of the others I see people for check ups if they have a cold sore, but I will avoid carrying out any treatment at all until it is resolved.
I wouldn't be concerned about the practice itself.
