Anyone get Robosapien from Tesco Direct?

Hi, I ordered the Robosaspien from Tesco Direct on Saturday, a great bargain at £19.99. I had a confirmation email saying in store to collect on Monday at 4pm, but as I had ordered another item that wasn't in store yet I left it.

Yesterday at 9.50pm My DH took a phone call from Tesco saying it was out of stock. I'm a little peeved off to say the least.

So far, the experiences I've had from Tesco Direct are bad, to say the least, I ordered a kettle before Christmas, and that order, (despite the order confirmation in my sticky paw) didn't ever go through.

Basically, do I have any chance of saying that I want a raincheck on this item? They took my money on the point of ordering, but have now refunded it. I am so fed up with them, they really can't organise a p*** up in a brewery.

Any suggestions on how I can vent my frustration greatfully recieved!

  • Had the same problem with the Roboreptile from Comet. Had a 50 mile round trip to Telford only to be told, sorry! none in stock. They offered me a refund and i told them to stick it and go and buy one from another shop. I lost my temper with them because they didn't care.
Then an assistant found the one i had paid for and reserved in the training room, hidden away. You'll probably find staff have bagged them, just like http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006600372,00.html

Went into the store to pick up another item today and had a bit of a hissy fit about the Robosapiens, poor staff member got my 1st bit of bad mood, so she phoned head office for me. After another bit of saying that they had taken my money, I'd missed out on other offers because I believed I had one, and they finally agreed to honour the £19.99. I have to keep watching their website and when one comes up for sale again, they will only charge me £19.99, whatever the online price.

Now, either they know they aren't going to stock that again, or they think I won't check the website....
