MBNA - who owns the debt

I had an MBNA card about 5 years ago & whilst I have a balance of about 3k on this, I did have an arrangement with them to pay off about £75 per month.
then I missed one, they then cancelled the arrangement & passed it to AIC, I wrote to them, they were'nt very helpful, left it a while.
Since all of this I then get letters from a different company called Aegis, then one from Fredricksons international.
Finally I get one from MBNA again saying its now with Fredricksons ?
Who actually owns this debt & who should I be speaking too ?
Any help appreciated.
