TESCO QUINTON - SOMERFIELD vouchers refused

Good Evening.

After been captivated by your genius ways of saving money, I decided to try it myself.
The method was the 37 quid of Somerfield Vouchers, The store - TESCO Quinton with brilliant results. I saved around 30 quid on 4 visits with the balance to pay being a few pounds.
But SHOCK, HORROR I WENT LAST NIGHT AND WAS REFUSED. The young lady didnt just scan the vouchers, but instead asked her supervisor, who blankly refused (just as I was about to get cocky and try for a free toaster, dam)!

When I checked today I was told that headoffice has sent an email to warn stores NOT to accept Somerfield Vouchers.

Has anyone else had this trouble???

Yes, I only used them once in my local Tesco's but I told my best friend and her and her mother went a bit mad and went in 4 times each over a weekend and since then they won't take them
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

  • Tesco dont often accept Somerfield vouchers anyway unless they are of the like where you get money off an amount shop e.g. £3 off £30 shop

I have warned about this on here for a number of months. Tesco cannot redeem these coupons and I've read about customers using hundreds of pounds of them. I'm not having a go at you because you are new to the forum but do people honestly believe Tesco willingly take £37 of Somerfield Coupons off a £40 Shop.......okay I can understand people slipping the odd one in here and there but Tesco aren't soft.

The difference between these and other genuine coupons which you can obtain in loads of places (including the Newspaper thread on here ) and www.money-off-coupons.blogspot.com and bobs free forum and Martins post is that Tesco can get their money back and as a whole they are much more acceptable.

Good luck all with coupons in 2007 but lets be sensible. If we are too greedy it will be stopped.

    Regards

Are you suprised that they wont? It's overwrought behaviour like this that spoils it for all.
I wouldn't be suprised if Tesco stop taking coupons/vouchers.
