Getting there slowly, but now a problem

Ive been self managing my debts which total about 50k, with the biggest two being Mortgage (5k arrears) & GE secured loan (1.5k arrears).
I went to two court hearings a came away with two suspended orders, which at the time was just okay.
I then lost my job, but have managed to get another starting on Monday.
Problem is that my new employer is going to be paying me a month in arrears, therefore it is going to be end of September before I can make the next payments.
I have tried ringing eversheds who are looking after the mortgage arrears who insist I must still make a payment.
I went to CAB who say I need to make an official appointment with them for a sit down talk, however with my new position starting Monday it's going to be a bit difficult.
Any help appreciated.
Stephen.

As an employer myself I've paid employees some money up front when they've started if they've asked and explained the situation. Won't work if it's big company, but iif it's a small one, it';s worth asking.0
