More Finance

has any one come across a company called More Finance? i was contacted on my mobile from a with held number they offered me a 10000,00 load at 15.2%. I have an IVA, this did not seem to bother them and te ooan is available dispite this. The wanted my debit card details to charge me 69.50 as an agents fee and money would be available in 3 to 3 days.

I found a phone number for them on there web site but this unanswered

Does this sound familiar!!

Stay well clear from them....they'll make you pay and you will never see any kind of loan coming your way. It is a SCAM....

Since it makes no commercial sense for any company to randomly call people to offer them a loan then this is obviously the usual scam.

At best they are a "broker" who will take your money, at worst they are out and out fraudsters who will try and get further fees.
  • Thanks thought as much, seem to be getting a lot of these calls

Hope you didn't give them your debit card details. If you did, the money's already gone.

Why did you continue to discuss your personal finances with some cold caller?

In addition why on earth did you try to search them out on the Internet and contact them?

Surely to goodness you are not trying to get a £10k loan whilst you are in an IVA, have you not learned a lesson???

Didn't think you could take on more debt in an IVA?

Anyway, it's a non existant loan so they'll scam you and fleece you of anything you have.

I'd judge any company contacting you randomly to offer you a loan you didn't request as dodgy for starters. Add that to the fact they are saying they can loan you money despite you having an IVA (no reputable company will lend to someone who can't pay back the debts they already have!) and they are asking for a fee before paying out (a loan company will get its costs back via the interest they charge on the loan) and all the red flags are there.

What will happen is they will take your fee and then tell you they can't lend to you, and it is non-refundable. And if you give them your bank details, it is seen as entering a contract with them and the £70 is legally theirs.

Thank goodness you weren't tempted by "free money" (as so many are) and sought advice (as so many don't)!
