i paid equitas baliff £490 fo my 04-05 council tax owing, when he then told me i had another £498 from a previous year, but said that i could make an arrangement to pay it at the end of every month at £30 starting the 28/08/2011...i rang equita and made the arrangement for £40 a mth, have today received a letter off them confirming this arrangement...at the bottom of the letter it then says that a baliff will still be calling to levy distress????letter sent out on the 1st aug after my phone call
rang today 4/8/11, the guy on the phone said this was a new way of securing the arrangement that i made?? he also said that the baliff might ring me or might not ring to arrange this, can they do this as what was the point of making the arrangement if theyre goin to come and levy distress my goods, as of yet not heard anything an no ones been round, want this add charges as well ...thanks in advance

Errr..
No. Do not let a bailiff into your house to levy on your goods.
Why? Because he can then add masses of extra fees to the debt.
I will post up and e-mail you need to send later, with respect to this account and the previous one.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

send this to the baillif company by e-mail (anything you send the bailiff company send to the council addressed to the Head of revenues and vice versa ) info@equita.com should work
