Just had a call from Moorcroft re my Egg account, they said that they wouldn't accept a £1 token payment and I have to make a payment now, I said I wasn't in the position to make a payment, explained situation, the reply was "do you want me to send someone around to you house for a visit", I replied well I don't know what else to suggests, she then proceeded to do a SOA with me and esitmated that I could afford to pay each of my creditors (7 of them) £16 a month, so they want £16 a month from now on.........
HUH? that went from sending someone to visit me to accept £16 a month a reduction of £34 that I was paying.....
Oh well, I'll go with that just now........

All going to plan I'll be debt free March 2010....3 years and counting... :T

Difficult to imagine dc, but there are people who 'troll' this forum actively defending - even praising - the integrity of MOORCROFT :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

i hate the company but the man who collects from me is always polite,helpful,friendly,competent and treats me with respect.
I'm sorry others dealings with them are not good but i HAVE dealt with much worse companies.Please remember that most of our impressions of companies come from individuals who represent them so we all have different impressions.Every day above ground is a good one

We have got some debt with Moorcroft - I never speak to them on the phone only ever by letter this seems to work and theyve accepted token payments, If theyve got you on the phone its more likely youll agree to something you dont want to or worse still cant.
