I just scanned really - AFTER I'd chose :o. 5 transfer windows (how many transfers per window?). Points for goals, not assists... clean sheets & pen. saves = defensive points?
Goal points are the same for defenders as strikers? I got Samba as he was a high scoring defender for me in fantasy premier league last yr.

Points for the Champions league and cups as well, I am used to just being premiership.

It's not too late! You can still enter teams and start scoring from Sunday's games. Just get them entered by 12:30 tomorrow
