Overripe Bananas but no SR Flour?

Options
Hi all, I've got four over ripe bananas but I don't have any SR flour to make banana bread, I only have plain flour. I don't have any baking powder either :(

Does anyone know of any banana bread or other banana recipes so I can use them up?

Peel, slice them & freeze them until you need them. I do this for until I have enough for banana muffins.

you beat me to it !!! yummmmmy :D

EDIT: I think you can add baking powder to plain flour if you have any & that make it self raising
  • or if youve not got an egg, have you got any beer or sparkling water? You dont need an egg to make a batter x

  • Hi,
    this is my first post....
thought I mention that self raising and plain is the same flour, apart from selfraising has added raising agent (baking powder and sometimes salt) so you can use use plain flour for anything as long as you remember to add baking powder.:)
  • sorry did'nt see the bit abut you not having baking powder, duh:o
  • Banana Pancakes are yum,
make pancakes as normal, slice up banana , put on pancake and drizzle syrup/ honey on, or sprinkle on sugar, then roll it fajita style( I use 1 banana for 2 pancake rolls) and heat up in microwave then serve with whipped cream, ice cream or both h
    hmmmmmm
