PayDayloans and debts

I've had a little read through the forums and I closed down the bank which the pay day loans take money from.

I have a seperate account anyway that my wages were always paid into and now my JSA

I don't even have a debit card for this account as when I opened it I didn't want to spend outside my means... If only I'd stick to it.

My question is where do I go from here... Do I go down the route of 1 pound token payment to the companies until I contact cccs or do I just go straight to cccs.

Thanks for listening to me ramble on and thanks to anyone that can help >.<

If your confident enough then you can do it all yourself, but remember what ever you offer your debtors will in turn ask for more so if you can afford to pay £10.00 per month to a debt make the first offer £5.00 and then negotiate with them, if you use the cccs they will require full details from you, pay slips, sos and so on, and I think you have a phone appointment to.

Having read your other thread I'd first get some advice from one of the charities. If you have payments falling due before you can get a telephone interview with CCCS then you could send this letter - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=21937969&postcount=51

After that it obviously it depends on what CCCS suggest as a remedy, if the suggest bankruptcy or a DRO then you may as well stop payments as soon as and instead start saving any money for the fees. If they recommend you just pay token payments each month they should give you information and some template letters to send to your creditors.

I notice you have a logbook loan - this is the most immediate issue I would guess - when is your next payment due to them? I certainly wouldn't send them the letter above as I imagine as soon as they receive it they will come to take the car.

I'm can't do it myself I was just wondering where to start. I think CCCS is the way forward.
