There is a pretty constant stock of 5000 Wii's on Ebay and has been for some time now. That means that 5000 are being sold every day at £260-£280 average. The demand is massive and Nintendo are not upto supplying that demand. Yes you might get one at RRP but this shortage has been around for over 12 months. Ebay Wii's will always sell for huge profits because alot of people just want one so they buy one regardless of cost.

I don't share your optimism re:Ebay but i am confident that people on here will get one for RRP if you look hard enough.

I also think some of the £300 bundles are pretty good value. You get 4 games that you sell on /return and get RRP back for them meaning your console is back at £179. Ebay games are going for close to RRP in most cases.

Surely this is sarcasm? The demand is massive and will continue after xmas, just like last year. I imagine ebay prices will reach stupid levels as the run up to xmas nears.

  • I'm in Wellingborough, Northants and HMV and Morrisons are having deliveries daily (only a few mind) and it's first come first served. Both have said if I ring up and they've had a delivery, they can hold one for me for 10-15 minutes so fingers, toes etc crossed for that!
Woolworths have a waiting list with 171 names on it.

Of course! Its just that I base my opinion on facts and what I see. I would love there to be lots of stock available (not for me personally I dont want one) but this is not going to be the case.

If anybody has ordered a Wii Console from Marshall Wards, I would phone them up as I just did - I can confirm they deffo do not have any stock and I've just had to cancel my order now. Bummer. Said they wont have until February at least...

    The hunt goes on!

Thanks buzzbomb for the tip. I've just phoned re my outstanding order with Marshall Ward as order still showing delivery of 7/12/07. Spoke to a couple of people having been told that no stock until Feb! Eventually somebody on enquiry said that anybody with orders for the Wii + Wii Play package were all been contacted to say that order would not be honoured but that they were offering Wii's only for dispatch in next three weeks!!!
    Don't hold up much hope.
I'm one of the fortunate one's who already has a Wii, but was ordering this for a friend.
  • I got an email from Marshall Ward earlier

Posted a few pages back - basically it said they were not getting stock when they thought they would, but will be getting some - but could not gaurentee it will be before Christmas

I am going to leave it for a bit and see if it turns up before cancelling - they havent took any cash
