  • My Wii bundle has just arrived from gamestation, I ordered it last Thursday. The courier told me he bought 4 and sold them on but he's giving it up now because he's seen a huge increase in the number if Wii's in their warehouses now.

Good luck to the rest of you in tracking one down. I'll probably still lurk on here though.

I think this wii thing is a lot of fuss about nothing!
In the last 3 weeks i have had various family members ask me if i know anywhere to get one and i have found one within an hour of logging on each time.

So far 3 have arrived to my house and 1 more is expected on next friday... perhaps you guys are looking too hard? or is it just me thats been fortunate with Amazon (twice) marshall ward and dixons?

I find it hard to believe that I am just that lucky and that most of the Wii hype is from people who don't know where to look.

I hope you all get one for xmas, nothing worse than seeing a disappointed kids face on Christmas morning.

Wiis are quite widely available - but it depends what you are willing to pay. Most MSE'ers want to pay around £180 because that is the RRP - and why not.

Perhaps, super_dad you'd be willing to give us an idea of what you paid for your Wiis to put your original post into perspective.

Incidentally, if you paid £180 each I have only 3 words for you - "You", "lucky" and one other that doesn't belong on this forum!

No, you are not just lucky. You've used this forum to buy yours..those you have mentionned & maybe some you haven't:rolleyes:

I strongly believe that those coming to this forum will get one. Those who resort to wandering the streets in their search are less likely to get 'lucky'.
  • I suppose we have all have had different experiences, I have been reading this thread for ages now (thanks it's been a great info source and support!), like everyone hoping for a tip on where to find a wii. I trawled the internet for weeks morning noon and night, without any luck. At the same time I was popping into the odd shop just when out. I think there are a lot more around in small batches now. I actually got mine from Virgin megastore (had to buy a huge package OMG!)- just on one of my pop -ins. I did't bother with Comet, currys, game woolies etc as they have big waiting lists (or so I'm told). If you are still looking don't dismiss the shops, I'm glad I didn't.

In your previous posts on this thread you mentioned also buying 2 consoles from comet and a bundle from dixons so you could sell the console on Ebay for £300 nearer to Christmas. So not only are you adding to hype by ordering to sell for profit but you aren't giving all the facts in your 'gloating' post.

New Argos Extra opened today in Mansfield Notts(Oak Tree Centre) They got a big supply of wii's in. If you live close go NOW they still have some.
  • Hi

For anyone that ordered from Marshall Ward the other day, here is the reply I recieved when I asked if I woould recieve my Wii before Christmas

Thank you for contacting Marshall Ward about the delay in delivering your (PG3471H) Nintendo Wii. We’re really sorry that you've had to wait but unfortunately, our new stocks are taking longer to arrive than we’d anticipated.

We’ll get it to you as soon as we can although i can not guarantee it
    will be delivered before Christmas.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I am giving up now - I refuse to pay over the odds prices. All I want is a Wii and Mario Galaxy. It was going to be surprise anyway so no dissapointment really

LOL. If I remember correctly he was also chasing an Argos code for one.

Glad you got sorted kittynortheast. I'm sure there are some out there somewhere, but with everyone chasing them I think you have to be lucky with timing. Certainly worth a shot though.

OK..who is shuffling these posts & making some disappear?
