I know there are lots of us keen to find a Wii, and discuss tactics etc, But can I suggest we make ONE more Wii thread? A bit like the tesco coupons threads - keep this one for SIGHTINGS and a new one for Wii Hunter CHAT?

Otherwise anyone getting alerts from this thread will be getting so many notify messages at the moment it won't be of use.

I created a CHAT thread here:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=6852551

Maybe the BG's will allow it, or maybe they'll merge them. I think it would be a good idea to keep two.

    Turn alerts off.

There is alot of useful info in this thread and I think it's nice to keep it in one place.
    IMO.

I do have alerts turned off, but I'd like to turn them on, the point of this thread was for people to post Sightings!

Look at post #1 in the thread.

Agreed. There has been about 10 minutes of Wii availability in the last few days. I don't think you will get a wii by getting an alert from this thread. I have 3 other family members trying to get one with no success (yet!).

The only way, as somebody postd yesterday is F5, cup of coffee and a sleeping bag. Oh and a huge slice of luck!!

    Happy hunting folks!
  • Why complicate the system with 2 different threads, the only suggestion I would have made is a Part 2 of this thread like the Boots Bargain thread.

Ahh you took my advice, makes it a little warmer whilst "Wii hunting".

IMO, if it aint broke then dont fix it........

If there was just a wii spotted thread then it would be all "in stock here" & a seperate thread would need to be things like "they say in stock here, over in the other thread, is the company reliable etc...?" , least here it's all in one place.

I know what you are saying but it is difficult.

It may be better to have a new thread for info of how to find one only. Eg: An opening post giving details of the alert sites & then any sites which ship to the UK.

The problem here is sites posted need to be authenticated first by people buying & receiving etc & that takes time. By the time this happens the thread will disappear into the depths.

Availability posted here tends to last seconds so is soon out of date & not worth posting on a separate thread as they will have gone by the time someone comes to read them. The only ones that last any time & could be posted are the larger more expensive bundles like Woolworths last night & Comet this morning.

Although this may appear to be a general chat thread, if you keep up with it there is advice on how to go about finding one & also what to avoid on ebay, which sites to avoid etc. The chat develops as these sites are being checked out which in the end should be of benefit to all.
