Just been to Morrisons in Leyland which is near Preston in Lancs. Got a Wii plus Sport game for £179.99. They had 4 left.
Hope this post helps someone.0 -
I managed to reserve one in Wrexham last night and phoned through to check the reservation had gone through. It was there and ready so my lovely dad who lives nearby went and picked it up before my reservation got cancelled again :j
Don't really think it is fair that reservations are being cancelled though  I very nearly had a wasted journey.
If you have one reserved at Argos, you really need to ring the store and check.A dog is for life not just for Christmas.
How about a rescue dog?0 -
Sorry it's a bit late in the day, but if anyone's after a Wii from Argos I have a few reservation numbers which are valid until the end of today in the following Scottish stores:
Edinburgh Kinnaird Retail Park
Airdrie
East Kilbride Kingsgate Retail Park
East Kilbride Princes Mall
Stirling
Greenock
Kirkcaldy
If one of these would help anyone, email me at bobiscuit+mse@gmail.com
This chap had loads reserved that ended last night so the stock should have come available today? could give it a go.
Make sure argos honour your reservation though.
And while im on here i just want to say that dangeroussports posted this
("Have fun people, I got one from Game in victoria, went back earlier today and picked up another two!
Perfect for making some money on Ebay now, someone somewhere is going to desperate to get their hands on one over christmas lol! LOL LOL
If I make enough moolah out of them, hopefully I shoud be able to cover 50% of my original Wii at least.
Great mser ! I'll try and get my hands on some more")
I think this is so out of order this is the reason that normal people cannot get their hands on them, and why most places are cancelling orders or not honouring reservations because there are people abusing the system shame on you!!!:mad:0 -
best tactic I would say is just to ignore posters like that - we are all looking out for each other on this thread - I have a wii now, and hopefully one on way from Tesco, but will either return it or pass to colleague who is still searching. I am still checking out thread and posting availablity. Why come on here and bragg about having so many and making money out of them -( maybe he should be posting on another forum.) when so many are still trying to get 1!No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

I'm up in Glasgow and am desperatley looking for a wii. If anyon has a spare reservation code for a wii in Argos in nearly ANY scottish argos store, please can I have it?? Its for my little boys birthday at the end of this month...so I'm pretty desperate! Thanks x
Wooly in Ek were letting you place order for a 3 day delivery yesterday so worth trying your local store - or even phone them as another poster said he gave his card dets over the phoe and they ordered for him. Parkhead Forge Argos had stock last night also - not sure of situation today. No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Hi amanda40 - it was automatic free delivery on Dixons when I ordered it - think its £4.95 now.what are the codes for free delivery and £15 off please.
Thanks:beer:
The Dixons code I used is on the MSE DISCOUNT CODES section. Can't post it here.
It was £15 off £299 or more - I ordered 2 Wiis.
Still got a spare one (due to my friend ending up getting another one from another shop). Haven't put it on ebay as its not worth it anyway due to all the fees I'll be charged! They are only going for about £200 anyway.
Any ideas anyone how I sell the spare.....if not it will be going back to Dixons at end of week.

I'm sure someone on here will be prepared to offer you RRP price + postage to get their hands on it.
Apart from it not being nice to sell on ebay, as you say, currently, after all the fee's and hassle, petrol, packing, your time, it's not worth it for £20.01 more than you paid. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
Just a piece of advice to anyone who manages to reserve a Wii online, make sure you ring the store and explain you have an on line reservation and ask them to put your name and phone number on your item.
I reserved one online yesterday and on going to collect the item from the store only to be told they had cancelled all online reservations and sold mine:eek: ! Thier excuse was they don't know which are genuine reservations!!! Suffice to say I was furious, even more so when they told me that I should keep checking online and only make a reservation over the phone or instore:mad:. I explained to the manager this isn't always possible especially if you work full-time out of town, so she suggested the above piece of advice. Hope that helps someone!!
I did get one in the end as I complained so much! Some people had made duplicate reservations which are not allowed, only one per customer so I was sold one of them in place of my own! Stick up for yourselves as well!0 -
there are loads of wiis being delivered to Toys r us in watford for this saturday morning (20th). none of them have been pre sold so its just a case of showing up sat morn.:j0
