Right, think i'm giving up. Too much work to do, not enough time for this nonsense of trying to find a basic console (179).
Think that theyve just lost a customer. Cant be bothered anymore. One by one the penguins steal my sanity.0 -

Apparently people have easily bought a bundle online from Game and then returned the bits of it they didn't want to a store for a full refund.0

For anyone trying to get a Wii, Go to a Gamestation store and put down a deposit. When they get them in they'll reserve one and give you a ring. No hassle, and no chasing internet stock.
Sure you might have to wait a few days more but it's less agro..0 -

Depends how you define rip off bundle. You need games for it and yes they do bundles, but unfortuantly as it's selling so well the only way you'll get one is to get a bundle.
That said If you have to buy a few games at almost full RRP first to get the Wii thats just how it is at the moment, and at least gamestation do let you pick 2 of the games (you have to have sonic, which isn't bad anyway), rather than a fixed bundle like game or Toys R Us do,
The bundles are not too overpriced against some other vendors, at least there a bit discounted not the full RRP. The chepa bundle is the Wii, Sonic and 2 games of your choice for £265. Not cheap but if you take out £180 for the Wii and £30 that sonic can be got fo that makes each of the other games £27.50 each, pick well and you can cover that in what you'd pay for the games.0 -

Yeh, thanks, i understand all that. My argument is that i want the advertised console for £179. Thats all i want. Just that, nothing else. And If I cant get it, so be it. i just think its a shame that they seem to do this all the time. But it is their loss. (theres me getting on my high horse again)
I take your point about games, but there are places doing some games for less than £20 and we all know that the prices for games will plummet soon (in fact they are doing already).
So all in all i could get a WII (bundle) for more than i want to pay, with other stuff that I dont want, and before anyone chips in, yes I could do the whole 'I didnt want that, can i get a refund' or even the 'stick it on ebay', but WHY should I?
(High horse again)
I only wanted one because i thought it was actually quite innovative, not because i'm some sort of gamer, and I thought that I was the kind of market Nintendo where trying to hook.
and the last thing...before I go and try to get more work done......I have put all this in an email to Nintendo. I am awaiting their response but suspect it will be in the form of my basic WII.......non existent.
