Beware play.com - dont get suckered into it. I placed three separate orders (workmates are as desperate as me) the other day and got a 'security check' email. When I called up they told me they had got one (!!!! just one !!!!) in stock the day I ordered and when they scan the barcode on the delivery shipment the website automatically updates and doesnt distinguish as to whether that one's already been preordered. He said they'd had hundreds of people fall for the same thing and were cancelling orders left right and centre

AND

Just to make things worse I got hit with a one pound charge to my credit card because they authorised the purchase even though they didnt charge me :mad: Needless to say they got a very grumpy ex-customer on the line....they're yet to come back to me with an answer on whether they will refund. I know it's just a pound....but I'm a moneysaver! :rotfl:

Today I have succumbed to the lure of Ebay. There are two packs on at the moment for 310 with heaps of games and stuff (wario and zelda on one!) and to be honest I've easily spent the extra 60 pounds in hassle (and saved well more than 60 pounds thanks to martin in the past) so I'm going to stump for it and put the madness to rest!

Good luck in your hunt everyone - my brother in law has one and it far exceeded my expectations. Can't wait til Tuesday to get my hands on my Wii! :T

Woolworths said they dont not accept solo and my order is surely going to be cancelled. Shame really they said there was absolutely nothing they could do about it.

Says my order is waiting a security check still. Ill just have to start the search off again.

I got my Wii . I ordered it on Tues or Wed from woolies online and I recieved it yesterday so I wouldnt take any notice of the delievery date on there site.

Thank you to everyone who posted on this thread and I agree that having that page open while on the net really helps as it pop up when a shop has them instock.

most toys r us stores had them today i got 5 for all my friends that wanted one.

most stores that you ring tell you they have no stock. but if you say you have been to another store which just sold out and they told you to ring.
if they have stock they will hold one for an hour or so for you.

little white lie is better than driving around all the stores
