Dodged a bullet!

Ok, So I'm a fair bit in debt (9k), and have just started to take steps to sort it all out (Moving to a cheaper place, plans to sell the car and buy a motorbike for commuting etc).
This/Last month is the 'Horror Month' where Tax, MOT and Insurance are due. Managed to get the insurance a lot lower thanks to this site, and all was going swimmingly... Till the bank (Nationwide) reduced my overdraft by £800!
That pretty much would have messed it all up, so I gave them a call, and they agreed to put the overdraft back where it was, and reduce it by £100 a month.
I did get a letter about it, but that was back when i was in the 'Hiding Letters' phase, which thankfully has finished.
Feels like I've dodged a bullet, like in the Matrix!
I've been holding onto the car so that moving to the new place would be easier, but it might be time to cut the losses, and make the jump now, and ask some of my mates to help a bro out with transport.
The new place is available at the end of September, but they are friends, so I'm going to have a word and see if i can start moving stuff in sooner, as the girl who I'm replacing tends not to spend too much time there, and is also a friend of mine.
Everything is moving fast.. gotta try and keep up!

Hi Matow!
Well done on reducing your overdraft by £100 each month.
Have you got a budget that you work to that now includes saving for next years Tax, MOT and Insurance? I presume it will be a lot less expensive when you have a motor bike.
Putting aside a few £'s starting now will rid you of 'horror months' forever

Nationwide have been acting really heavy handed with me for the past year, I am wondering why they seem to be calling so many overdrafts in? I'm in real trouble because of them, very unsympathetic. Who knew?! Best of luck!0
