Roxburghe now 'Claim Right'?

I've been getting hassle from Roxburghe for a few years now relating to a disputed debt from early 2005 (yes, I know) that I have always denied I'm liable for.
Anyway, there was a call to my home this morning from "Claim Right" with the normal empty threats, DPA violations etc.
Is this a new name for Roxburghe or have they finally given up and passed the debt on to somebody else?
Can I help?

Roxburge (HFO) are in imminent danger of losing their license to trade, so I suspect they are offloading old accounts at the moment to scrape any pennies they can?

That has made my day!! I've had very recent troubles with them - they ignored 9 attempts to contact them in writing, after I paid in full they didn't tell edf I had paid (apparantly they were supposed to informt hem immediately), continued to send text messages and threatening letters (after I had paid), ignored my requests for confirmation debt now paid. I complained to edf who said Roxburghe would be sending me a confirmation in the post. Guess what? not a sausage so far. hate, hate hate them and hope they do lose their license! Can I ask why they might be losing their license?

The OFT have issued a "Minded to revoke" notice on their consumer credit license, without which they cannot do business.

Presumably due to the volume and nature of the complaints that have been made against them...

Rox/HFO are appealing the decision, but hopefully it will stick. Damn well should.

If you have a complaint and proof, then may be an idea to complain yourself. Another nail in the coffin, and more evidence that will get their appeal turned down.

  • Thanks, I might just do that - I have all the emails I sent that were never replied to but threw the letters out so not sure if that counts as evidence? May take a look at OFT's webpage
