Hi there,
I have the 30 day trail of equifax. I have noticed that an old credit card of mine shows a late payment in March 2005. I settled the card in December 2008 (which I think is about 43 months from the late payment).
For some reason I thought that a late payment would drop off your account after 3 years should all further payments be up to date. However it seems on my equifax report i have many more than 3 years payment history for settled accounts.
will i now have to wait 6 years from settlement date for this late payment to go or will it disappear sooner?
