I'm sorting some paperwork re: DMP and in some recent paperwork sent to me by a collection agent, the bank had sent them (?copy) of my credit card application form which includes a password – is this a breach of confidentiality? – IMO, the collection agent are an external organisation. Data Protection? – the same bank was fined some years ago re: serious breach…..

Also, how important are the words zero balance written against account in the negotiations of Full and Final settlements.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer your question properly, but I can't believe they would share a password! That is awful! :eek:

I know, have seen the document and password clearly stated. Does anyone know if this is breach of data protection? Thank You

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but could you just clarify what the password was for? Is it your current password for your online account?

Yes - password for telephone banking.

I should also add that I raised the matter with the bank who advised me that "DCA is acting on our behalf", inferring the DCA is an associate / offshoot company (I doubt it). Note: DCA about to have license revoked.
The bank also stated " once forms were passed to DCA, password was 'halted' " - I have no way of ascertaining if this is trueful because I'm on DMP and therefore have not been doing any telephone banking.
