I have different colouring and so cant help with what will suit you but can you pop into boots or any other store with make up counters and ask their advice?

Go to a make up counter in a department store they will help you find something that is right for you and be able to give you tips about applying it.

I do a lot of bridal, and always find the natural look is best. Would advise you try lilac eyeshadow- only a light wash, as it makes your eyes look brighter in the pics. And a mid to dark pink lip gloss!
  • If you have time to go to the counter the morning of your wedding - then they'd do it for you and it would be fab!

I have blonde hair/blue eyes. Avoiding lilac as I think it makes me look pasty and when I get red with heat/embarrassment it clashes. I'm wearing bronze eyes.

Lips - I'm considering a bright red for impact! But I think that you will get away with nearly anything! Again - try to get to a make-up counter. Some tones might make your teeth look yellow (they do with me). A lighter colour shouldn't do this though. Get a matt one for longevity and a gloss for sparkle!

I have done several brides make-up as I used to work for Benefit so they always make me do it for them.

I would avoid lipstick (gets on teeth) and avoid lip gloss (sticky) as both have a tendancy to go a little funny if not regularly topped up, especially when talking to as many people as you will be. Instead I would visit the MAC counter and getone of their tinted lipbalms, that way you will still have colour but it feels lovely on your lips.

For eyes, there is no way i would use lilac, its dated and nasty.. you need to find a colour that is a similar darkness to the colour of your foundation, but a tad browner with a golden shimmer. You need to put this over your entire eyelid, all the way up to the brow. Next, I would apply a brown (Brown not orangey!) eyeliner along your lash line above and below and then use a smudger to blend it so the line is not to harsh. Then use a contour brush and a matt brown to fill in the crease in you eyelid, and the outer corners on the upper lash line, using a soft brush, blend this inwards from the crease in the eye towards the lash line.

    Hope that helps x
