Hi there,
After many years of having various credit card debts I am now in a position to clear them after being left some inheritance. I have 3 debts on a cccs management plan,
Halifax £4959
Barclaycard £3755
Capital one £950
I also have
virgin credit card £1800
mint card £3000
I have had the cccs plan going for the last 3 yrs. prior to that I had terrible problems with capital one with threats etc and refusing to take lower offered payments. I have never missed a payment to any of them , I just make lower agreed payments now. I feel in the past Barclaycard and capital one have been particulally ununderstanding of the situation I was in with constant phone calls up to 20 times a day, I never asked to not have to pay always just to pay a lesser amount.
As I said I cannow pay them off but feel after all the aggro I have had with some of them in the past I would like to offer less as a full and final payment. Is this morally wrong?
Also would it make my credit file look bad if I did so, remember at the moment it looks quite good as I have never actually missed a payment to anyone.
Any advice, thankyou .

start with offers of 20% of the total and see where that takes you, think of all the interest you've paid n the past!
make sure you send the letter from here and ask to have your credit record marked as satisfied and get a written undertaking before you part with any money.
Good luckMore than Two Years in
