I used to bury my head and shudder at the thought of taking a packed lunch to work each day, but I realised that I was spending anything from £3 to £5 a day on food, which soon mounts up.

Now I compromise a little and 1 day a week I'll have lunch at work, as they fresh made to order calzone pizza. So It feels like a bit of a treat as it were.

Give it a try, once you get going, you'll find after a while the money you save mounts up.

Even if you put the money you'd normally spend on lunch at work into a jar and count it at the end of a week, this might give you an idea once you see money sitting in front of you.
