Does anyone know what the smallest size is that can be made bigger?
My son is having a problem sourcing a size Q bridal set. The nearest he can find is N.
So, can an N size ring be made bigger into a Q, or not?:o

most can usually go 3 sizes either way
but does depend on the metal and setting
anything we might be able to help look for if you had some extra details? The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Okay so this place doesn't do bridal sets (is he wanting an engagement ring and wedding band matching set)... but they go up to a P1/2. I would also say if you give him a call he may be able to resize it to a Q for you. https://www.theweddingringspecialist.co.uk
I have had a ring off him, which was actually the wrong size (HSamuel's told me my non-engagement ring was a K - it turns out it's actually a K1/2). But the guy here has been fab - sent it back and he's exchanging it for me no probs.0 -
Thanks for the replies, the link for the ring is

it does say normally avaliable in sizes I to S so can he not ring them up and ask when they will be back in in size Q and if they will honour the reduced price if he orders one now for that size and accepts it may take a couple of weeks to come through -0845 602 1112
there is another one exactly the same on the H Samuels website for £1399 but is also out of stock in a size Q i would ring them as well and have a bit of a haggle with them - 0845 609 2000The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
We phoned them yesterday but they cannot find one in stock in the right size or in a P.
The other option is the Sapphire set with the same design.
Will Ernst Jones lower a price if he takes cash with him?
This is driving me nuts and it isn't even my ring lol
EDIT : The one on Samuel is 1/2 carat whereas the ring on Ernst Jones is 1 carat.
The alternative is this one

try the H samuels one as well say oh i saw this at X price on ernest jones will you price match?
have you looked at if the 2 rings are available separately then ask for them to match the set price (had a quick look and it looks like there are)
there is a nice one on the website very similar for £1299 could you haggle with that one saying well you wanted the other one is there anything they could do on the price
has he been to local jewelers with the picture and asked about a price if you are close maybe a trip to the jewelery quarter in birmingham might be a good idea
but when spending this amount of cash always try and haggle for a better price - the worst they can say is noThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

Wedding ring sizes are different from normal ring sizes. My engagement ring is an H but on consulting with a jeweller my wedding ring size would be an I. I think it does depend on the design and the metal as said above but if you are getting a ring resized it might effect the shape so it might be something you want to bear in mind.:kisses3: Married 29th September 2012
