Jobs with accomodation?

Hi

Can anyone suggest a good source of information about jobs that come with accomodation? Suitable for a family with 4 kids.... We've been tryign to sell our house but it looks like our best bet may be to rent out our house for a couple of years instead. But we'd quite like to be able to work in exchange for accomodation rather than renting at the other end..

You are looking primarily at agricultural work or something like on-site school caretakers.

It really depends on your skills, experience etc. Some country hotels offer jobs with accommodation, similarly larger estates. These tend to be housekeeping/hospitality type jobs either for an individual family or company country hotel where supervisory / mangement level staff need to be on call / on site if necessary.

You could also look at other sectors of the leisure industry such as holiday parks, although the accommodation might be quite basic. Bear in mind that this kind of job isn't always well paid, the hours can be long and there may well be some charge for accommodation as well.

You're wanting accommodation for a whole family and the jobs that go with accommodation tend to be with a small single room in the basement somewhere. You aren't likely to get accommodation for a whole family.

Since posting, I've found quite a few jobs with 3-bedroom houses actually as wardens of sheletered housing schemes so it is possible! Just need to find one in the right area....
