Tesco's bad money saving deal!

On a shopping trip to my local Tesco this morning I noticed a dodgy deal on Whiskas cat food pouches (boxes of 12). The deal says 3 for £10-but at only £3 a box on their own you might find yourself spending an extra pound! Watch out money savers :)

Good on your reading the normal price and comparing it to the offer price as some people dont. A way round it is to pay for the 3 in 2 different transactions eg 1 with your shopping then the other 2 on they're own.

You won't pay extra if you just buy 3 of these packs!

They are part of a 3 for £10 deal covering a range of Whiskas items, some of which are £3.99 or even £4.65. You could buy 2x the £4.65 ones and one of the OP's ones and only pay £10. If you only buy 3 of the cheapest items you will only pay £9 NOT £10.

See here for the items in the promotion:

  • Great advice-I hadn't considered that there were other items available, or that I could purchase separately. Thank you!

It's the only time the cat ever gets the posh end Whiskas tbh. 3x £4.65 for £10 is a good enough deal for me to treat him.

It is a bt weird how they do these offers, cost the shopper more to buy it on offer.
  • i'm not a big fan of tescos - they sent me a clubcard offer email and its so complicated to work out if its a good deal or not - I gave up and shop at asda

My local Tesco was 4 boxes of Whiskas for £10 which I took advantage of and it went through at 4 for £10 on my receipt.

It was a day or two before OP posted so maybe they changed it on Wednesday? I know alot of Tesco offers end on Tuesdays...
