Hi. I thought it might be a good idea to post weekly targets for reducing debt/increasing savings, and have just one place to put them. It makes it easier to see what's going on, plus it makes you feel better if you can see yourself that each week you're doing something to make life better than it was the week before.
I'll start. Week beginning 01 January 2007.
Send chargeback claim forms to Natwest.
Confirm Natwest capability to transfer excess funds from Mastercard to bank account.
Check Student Loan T&C's and repayment schedule.
Start collating information for PC Money Management.
This should eventually save me around £40 and lays the ground work for more efficient money management later.

Not much for me to do this week:
Book appointment with BS for mortgage review (Mystery Shopping!!!, £20!)
Get up to letter G on quidco (going through alphabet to see what I've missed )- cracking 6 issues of Auto Express for £1 with £6 cash back!!!! but link not working earlier :mad:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Thanks for the heads up, never thought of trying to make a profit with Quidco! Bad me!
Off there now.
I was a naughty boy today, fell asleep after the Argos people came to collect my bed, but I'm usually a night owl so there's still hope of salvaging the day, er, night.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -
- Phone and up payment on electricity
- Get Avon brochures ready to post/take to work
- Copy ali's idea of alphabetically going through Quidco!
- List more stuff on IBootsale and AmazonOD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
OK, well last week nothing much happened, but this week hve added two of my accounts into Quicken, as well as my regular payments and Direct Debits. Have decided to transfer the DD's to my main current account, as my savings are with the same bank and it'd save me having to transfer money across thus eliminating the risk of late payments/going overdrawn.
Have set up a standing order for my regular saver payments (the one I'm with has a current account requirement, but the current account is only used to fund the regular saver), as well as to trickle £10 a week into my other account for rifle shooting taxi costs (I can just pop into the bank and take it out each week now).
Will be clearing the eBay debt this week after having 95% of it written off and will be paying back mum for the money she spent buying my new bed.
Exams next week so definitely hoping to sort Natwest out this week.
BTW, if I may ask how much cashback have you made off Quidco that does not involve spending anything, or at least spending very little? Just so I have an idea.
