I think if I had any spare cash (that I didn't think "OOOOOH!!!" and spend on a day out or a big night out or a pair of shoes or whatever!) I'd pay it direct to one of the debts. If I started saving, when it got to a respectable amount, I'd spend it on something for us instead of the debt! My thinking is I'd rather enjoy it now than pay them earlier.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I too get paid at the end of the m onth and pay off all the bills/debts for the following month straight away. OH is paid weekly, so that's what we get by on until next payday. As I'm paying off the debts, and they drop off the "to pay" list, then I have more left of my salary at the end of the month for us.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I save all my £2 coins to whack on as an addition to my payments. I also try and get under my budget, as any extra goes on overpayments. Ebaying & Amazon money gets put towards shop atm, but once that's sorted it's going on debt as well.
I think it depends if you want to see your balance going down (even if only by a quid) or just whack large bits off. Interest on most 'scrapings' are neglible after all. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
 Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0

If I can get all my debt at 0% or very low, then I save it and throw chunks.
Stick any spare cash in a box, along with all 20ps and £2s, and any money in my account in a savings jar just for CC overpayment which is generally from Quidco etcNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
