What are you doing with your nails for your wedding day?
I have quite nice long nails but they are prone to breaking despite supplements and Sally Hansen treatments. I was thinking about trying shellac to see if that would give them extra support in a natural French manicure look. Has anyone else tried shellac or have any recommendations?

Hi primmer. I got a shellac French done the weekend before last. I chipped the polish on my thumb nail pretty quickly (in hindsight I should have worn gloves to scrub the cooker) but its still going strong nearly 2 weeks later and my nails which are wrecked from years of biting haven't broken. I've also been taking calcium supplements.

im havingacrylics done the night before.i used to have my nails done all the time acrylics and liked them but like anything you put on your nails the eventually ruin your nails for good so mine will stay on till they come off0

A friend had shellac and also chipped one quite quickly. I'm having a variation on shellac but can't remember what it's called. I don't want acrylics or any extensions, but know I'll chip a normal polish - so getting a gel polish a couple of days before as that's the only time I'll have time! Will be very careful after that!Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

Hiya,
I'm having coloured gel nails done & will have been on a week when we get married as i'm having them done at the local salon here that I use all the time. I always have my finger nails done in coloured gel for when we go away & lasted 3 weeks before it started chipping in June & that's not really been careful, mixed with swimming & suncream. So pretty good I think.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.
