Airwick "prize"!

When is a prize not a prize? When Airwick make a mistake... Received WEM a couple of weeks ago saying I'd won one of their new "deodorising" detectors. Today an email came saying they'd made a mistake and offered a money off voucher instead ! Don't care about the prize but what bad PR. Surely with a product of so little value they could have honoured their mistake.

i had this to the product is tesco next week works out £2.10p with voucher but its not the point

Me too - but don't you think we are getting quite a lot of emails from companies and then the day after another saying 'Sorry we made a mistake yesterday' - I wonder if its a ploy to make us read at least one email instead of binning them without opening.
