Confused by credit report

I have a very poor credit report due to 2 CCJs (one active, one satisfied) and 6 defaults from 2008-9.
I am very confused by two things I just saw on my credit reports via Callcredit and Equifax and wondered if anyone could shed some light.
I am now showing as having only 2 defaulted accounts, although when you scroll through the 16 accounts (of which only 4 are current), the old defaults still show there. The 2 showing defaulted are the only unsatisfied defaults but up until a few days ago it showed as 6 defaulted accounts and my situation hasn't changed. They are also 2 defaults for the same debt, which I have challenged with the companies and credit reference agencies and am waiting to hear back on. I am also disputing the legality of the debt as I thought I had paid all Barclays debts and I don't recall ever getting a default notice. I didn't hear anything from them for years then suddenly they have sold the debt to Cabot Financial. It's a Barclays overdraft debt from 2008. I wrote to Cabot and disputed it and haven't heard back, that was several weeks ago so I have now CCAd both them and Barclays and asked them to substantiate the debt and default or remove it.
Of the two CCJs one shouldn't be on there as I paid within one month of the judgment date (by one day but I still paid in full!) and I am on attempt number 3 to get the muppets at Northampton County Court Bulk Centre to understand English and remove the judgment or it will be off to the N244 form. The other I already have an N244 in on as I never received paperwork and it's for £50 for Chrissake!
I have recently been approved for a JD Williams account (limit £750), a Three contract mobile and a Capital One Classic (limit £250) and I am going to make sure I put a little bit on each month and pay off in full to try to raise credit rating.
Is there anything else I can do?

Not sure about why the defaults ae only showing in the main body of the report - but its this that any potential lenders will see rather than the summary.
Regarding the cabot/barclays - if its an overdraft then no point doing a CCA as overdrafts are not covered by the CCA. You need to ask them for proof of the debt / balance but a CCA request won't get this information for you.
The only thing you can do regarding the disputes and CCJs is to try to wait to try to get things sorted. If you agree that you owe the £50 unsatisfied CCJ then if you pay up now before the set aside hearing this can often help get it set aside (ie you paid up as soon as you became aware of the debt).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks.
I've read a bit about overdrafts and CCAs and it appears to not be quite as straightforward as not covered so I thought it was worth a try and if they ignore me (as they ignored me asking for details of the debt and a breakdown of how it was incurred) I will try another tack. The stupid thing is I have a loan with Barclays I'm still paying off that's in perfect health. I don't actually know it's an overdraft as they haven't told me anything about it but I'm assuming it must be from an old account as I've only ever had accounts and my loan through Barclays and it's not the loan. But as I said I thought all my Barclays debts were paid off and I have no idea what this one is.0 -
hello i hope someone can help
i got a loan out and was paying weekly payments with greenwood finance that they arranged however i moved house and asked them to arrange for payment to be collected or i would arrange a bank transfer they said i couldn't do that and would get a manager to sort out a collection after a few weeks i rang again and asked again for a collection to be sorted or if i can make a payment over the phone they told me i can only make the full payment over the phone i then ask again if a collection can be arranged. after i kept ringing and asking to pay the weekly amounts i got a letter thou the post saying a default was going to go on my account if i didn't ring and arrange a payment in full so i rang the day i got the letter and asked if i could pay in full when i got paid at the end of the month they said yes so at the end of the month i rang and they said they had given the account to another company they would be able to sort the account out for me so i rang them and they didn't know who i was or anything about my account so i rang greenwood back and they didn't know who had the details for my account and said they would investigation it and ring me back after two weeks without a call i rang them back and they still didn't have my details but know who did. so i rang the new company and settled the account however iv been given a default.
so my question is can i get this removed as i think it is unfair ???????0
