Thought I would introduce myself, I am a 39 yr old single male living alone, finally got on the ladder 2 years ago and have a 2 bed semi detached with mortgage of £73,500, 2 yr fix just started with First Direct(who have been really good with me) at 3.89%. Really want to reduce this asap, I have emergency fund set up pretty much now but have some large-ish expenses over next few months, once I get to October I need to knuckle down and tackle this month by month, in an ideal world I would like to o/p 2k a year and get MF by 50. I will post SOA at some point, have been shaving as much off bills over the last few years but know I can do more. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want This time as some manc geez once said, any tips gratefully received, cheers!

Welcome DJ. i only recently started a diary, too, and am finding it an excellent way to focus my thoughts and stay on the straight and narrow!
Have a read of some other people's threads to get ideas and inspiration, and on the Mortgage Free Roll of honour people who already MF have posted about how they achieved it, which is also useful.
Good luck!Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -
Thanks for the welcomes, will post SOA when I can.0
