Figured out my spending for July, looking ok

So I have been monitoring my spending this month, and this is the first calender month I have watched it this close. Having done alot of maths today I have worked out that I was paid £575 and I spent £586.99.
That includes £115 a year of road tax and me having a bit of a relapse in the middle of the month by buying make up and a dress.
What I am pleased about is my accuracy, according to my spending diary I spent on cash and debit card £295.28 and according to bank statement this was £295.37.
I am going to take a closer look at how much of this was on food, petrol etc.
So I think I have got the hang of the recording and monitoring, now to start to spend less over the month.
August is a new month and I am planning on spending as little as possible.
Anyone else have a good spenping month? Or their spending diary has started successfully?

Yes, had a good spending month mostly although OH decided to have extra "pocket money".
For the first time ever I stuck to the housekeeping budget and didn't buy extra on the OD or cc's.
And I had some pocket money left of my own.
Sounds like you're doing really well
