PC World currently have this for £25.99 (Collect at store price).
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1864443078.1167811267@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceeaddjkkmgfhmcflgceggdhhmdfio.0&pageFrom=SimpleSearchProducts&page=Product&sku=792389
Also if you print off the Voucher (code 024548) you get a free England face plate (for any collect at store Xbox 360 item).
hope this helps.0 -
Hi,
PC World had none of the faceplates left when we went in to collect the xbox wireless connector on New Years Eve.
They said 'only while stocks last'. and the guy said they ran out over 6 weeks ago! Typical! Shame that they didnt tell us on the collect at store page on the web first.0 -
My mate got one of these for his xmas from his missus. took it straight back for a refund before he'd even tried it. general belief on the gaming forums etc is that it's rubbish, wireless signal drops often, bad for interference and shhusshy noises. (didn't know how else to describe that , lol.)
some are happy enough with it, just something to consider.0 -
Hi,
My son has the wireless headset and i was watching him and his mate play yesterday on our plasma.
All i can say is, his one works fine. In fact it is awesome, and i couldnt believe it. It must be a problem with your mates connection.
We couldnt connect to xbox live in my sons bedroom (bungalow). We have the xbox wireless adapter and a telewest wireless connection. Moved it into the lounge and hooked up to the tvdrive and 42 in plasma and our sound system, My god it is fantastic (and i myself cant stand gaming).
The graphics, sound, and voices from the headseat...AMAZING.
He didnt lose the connection once, so it does depend on wether you have a good signal from your wireless connections.
Bad thing is though, it looks like it is now staying in my lounge!!! Arrrghhhhhh....0 -
lol lolly, you didn't read my post properly. mate didn't even try his, he went with the general opinion on several gaming forums.
i also said some people were happy enough with it, i was just pointing out it was worth considering some of the other thoughts about it before buying it.0 -
hehehee...LOL teb......typical bloke...believe most of what they read eh!
Just like my hubby and son...Got the xbox 360 the other day...expect to just plug in and go online....they didnt read ANYTHING...
When they tried to hook up in the lounge, they used the cable supplied, then said didnt work.. After me sitting in the room with 3 of the male species...i said....'why didnt you leave the xbox wireless thing plugged in the back and try the signal here first'
Oh yes they said, didnt think of that.....derrrrrr!!
Takes a woman every time....LOL:rotfl: :rotfl:
