Croissants

Options
I bought some croissants the other day which need to be used up and I am looking for any suggestions/recipes for a pudding that can be made with them - I was thinking along the lines of a bread & butter pudding but wasn't sure if it can be made with them?

Any suggestions welcome as I am determined to use them up and not throw them in the bin like my OH wants to

I am sure I have seen TV chefs make bread and butter pudding with croissants.

    Can you not freeze them?

think it was this one. I've made it a few times - used Jack Daniels once and then substituted with Rum and some leftover Malibu. It also works without the alcohol - real comfort food:)

i make mine by using stale croissants that i slice in half and spread with nutella or other choc spread. into a buttered basin and then soaked in the usual egg, milk and sugar mix. bake as usual, best warm not hot

James Martin does one (looks really good in the book) but the number of eggs has always put me off actually trying it. That said, his carbonara recipe demanded 5 egg yolks and I reduced it down to 3 no problem.

Thanks for all the replies, some yummy suggestions. Think will try both the chocolate spread and the Nigella's version of the bread & butter pudding as I have 4 to use up - again thanks for all the suggestions x
