I bought some croissants the other day which need to be used up and I am looking for any suggestions/recipes for a pudding that can be made with them - I was thinking along the lines of a bread & butter pudding but wasn't sure if it can be made with them?
Any suggestions welcome as I am determined to use them up and not throw them in the bin like my OH wants to

think it was this one. I've made it a few times - used Jack Daniels once and then substituted with Rum and some leftover Malibu. It also works without the alcohol - real comfort food:)0 -
i make mine by using stale croissants that i slice in half and spread with nutella or other choc spread. into a buttered basin and then soaked in the usual egg, milk and sugar mix. bake as usual, best warm not hot'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

James Martin does one (looks really good in the book) but the number of eggs has always put me off actually trying it. That said, his carbonara recipe demanded 5 egg yolks and I reduced it down to 3 no problem.

Thanks for all the replies, some yummy suggestions. Think will try both the chocolate spread and the Nigella's version of the bread & butter pudding as I have 4 to use up - again thanks for all the suggestions xMFW - currently at £23,610 (Aug 2014) MFD 20200
